Jan Windhorst is Rupp Marketing’s Vice President/Account Supervisor. She brings to the team extensive education and experience including a BA in Communications/Media Production from Loyola University and a Master of Journalism/Public Relations from LSU. Her education has been put to practice in many aspects of marketing beginning with a quick rise to Vice President during her five year tenure at her first ad agency.

From there she was recruited by First NBC bank to market their electronic banking services where she served until the time of the bank’s sale.

Jan has in-depth experience with the franchise organization after serving eight years as the marketing director of SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune-Up. After helping franchisees grow their businesses all over the country including significantly increasing the sales of the New Orleans market area, Jan’s efforts contributed to the sale of the business to industry giant Midas. Midas was attracted to the efficient and effective marketing and advertising model developed at SpeeDee and Jan not only handled the transition of the SpeeDee brand to Midas but was also called upon to consult on the development of co-branding initiatives between the two brands. She was also invited to Midas corporate and franchisee meetings to share SpeeDee’s best marketing practices.

She has taught Communications and Media at Loyola University and consulted for a number of businesses offering creative and marketing strategy and placement services. Whether it’s creating a marketing budget spreadsheet, composing a jingle for Aaron Neville, writing public relations plans, creating and installing point of sale material and then photographing the storefront for use in a print ad, Jan pulls from a variety of talents and disciplines to offer a wealth of knowledge and creativity in one package.
